Description
York House is an early 19th-century building located on the south side of Broadway. It is two storeys high and features two windows. The roof is made of slate, and the building is constructed from gault brick, with gauged flat brick arches above the recessed sash windows, which retain their original glazing bars and ground floor shutters. The entrance has a wooden doorcase with pilasters that support an entablature, leading to a recessed doorway that includes a fanlight and a panelled door. To the right of the doorway, there is a segmental arched carriage entrance. York House is part of a group that includes Nos. 1, 7 to 13 (odd), No. 17, and Nos. 21 to 39 (odd), along with the shop adjoining No. 1.
