Description

Burleigh House, formerly known as Blue Gate House, is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with attics. The front is cemented, and it features a modern tile roof, a band between the storeys, and a cornice below the parapet. The house has five windows with glazing bars, and the middle window is of the Venetian type. There is a porch supported by Doric columns, and three flat-topped dormers with dentilled cornices. Burleigh House, along with the garden wall, gate piers, and Nos. 2 and 3, forms a group with Nos. 42 and 42A The Broadway.
