Description

No. 27 Main Street is a cottage that possibly dates back to the late 16th century. It features a rendered timber frame and a long straw thatched roof, with a gable end stack on the right side. The building is one storey high with an attic. The front includes a four-panelled door and two three-light casement windows on the ground floor. There is also a horizontal sliding sash dormer window. The nearby Anchor Public House to the east may have replaced part of the original structure.
