Description

No. 17 Main Street is a cottage dating from the late 16th century, which has been cased in 19th century local gault brick. It features a red pantile roof and stands two storeys tall. There is an end stack on the left side and a ridge stack located to the right of the centre. The front includes a half-glazed door set in a segmental brick arch, alongside one sealed doorway, and three 19th century four-paned hung sash windows. The first floor has three similar windows with flush frames. Inside, the cottage retains an exposed timber frame consisting of three bays and a side purlin roof.
