Description
The lodge, possibly from the 18th century, features late 17th century gate piers and walls. It is constructed of local red brick with limestone details and has a plain tile roof. The building is one storey with an attic, positioned to the left at right angles to the wall and entrance. It has shaped gables and an end stack, along with a sawtooth brick eaves cornice. There is one hipped casement dormer window with leaded lights. The original gable entrance on the southwest side has been blocked and replaced with a casement window. The wall includes a side entrance with an elliptical outer arch and a square-headed inner arch. The gate piers feature a moulded cornice and ball finials on limestone caps.
