Description

No. 52 Waterside is an 18th-century brick house, with some stone in the gable end facing Back Lane. The front of the house is slightly curved and it stands two storeys high with attics. It features a four-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. The entrance includes a six-panel door, with the upper panels glazed, and is framed by a moulded wood architrave. A raised brick band runs between the two storeys, and the roof is covered with Old Cambridgeshire tiles.

No. 52, along with Nos 52A and Quayside House, forms a group with Nos 33 to 41 (consecutive), Nos 43 to 47 (odd), Nos 51 to 53 (consecutive), the Malthouse adjoining No. 53, Nos 55, the Wharf, and Nos 54 to 64 (even) Quayside.
