Description
65 and 67 Waterside are originally two 18th century brick houses. No 65 faces southwest onto Waterside, while No 67 faces southeast toward the river. At the time of listing, they were considered one tenement.
No 65 is two storeys high with a three-window range on the southwest front and a one-window range on the southeast side. It features double-hung sash windows with glazing bars set in painted reveals. The ground floor windows have stuccoed flat arches.
The adjoining house, No 67, is also two storeys tall with a seven-window range, featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars in cased frames. A raised brick band runs between the storeys. The roofs are tiled; No 65 has a hipped roof at the southeast end, while No 67 has a serrated brick eaves course.
These buildings are part of a group that includes No 33 and a smithy at the rear, Nos 35 to 41 (consecutive), Nos 43 to 47 (odd), Nos 51 to 53 (consecutive), a malthouse adjoining No 53, and Quayside House, along with Nos 54 to 64 (even) Quayside.
