Description

40 Waterside is a building that was originally two early 19th century brick houses, which have now been converted into one tenement. It is two storeys high and features a three-window range. The first storey has casement windows with glazing bars, while the ground storey has double-hung sash windows with glazing bars in flush cased frames. The doorway is topped with a tiled hood supported by brackets, and the roof is tiled. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 36 to 40 (even), Nos 33 to 47 (odd), Nos 51 and 53, the Malthouse adjoining No 54, No 55, The Wharf, and Nos 52, 52A, and Quayside House.
