Description

This is an 18th-century brick house, now painted. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has a three-window front. The upper windows are double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, set in flush cased frames; the centre window is blocked. The ground floor windows are three-light casement windows. A raised brick band runs between the ground and first floors. The roof is tiled using Old Cambridgeshire tiles, with stopped gables and two flat-headed dormers. Numbers 54 to 64 (even), Ely Maltings, and number 68 (Malting Cottage) form a group with numbers 51 to 53, a malthouse adjoining number 53, Quay House, number 55, and the house adjoining number 55 Waterside.
