Description
Nos 41 to 45 on Waterside are a range of 18th century brick cottages that stand two storeys high. The cottages feature a three-window arrangement with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. The ground floor windows are topped with segmental arched heads. Each of the three four-panel doors is sheltered by tiled hoods supported on brackets. The roofs are covered with old Cambridgeshire tiles. These cottages are part of a group that includes No 33 and a smithy at the rear, Nos 35 to 41 in sequence, Nos 43 to 47 as odd numbers, Nos 51 to 53 in sequence, a malthouse adjoining No 53, No 55, and the house next to No 55, along with Quayside House, which collectively form a group with Nos 54 to 64 as even numbers on Quayside.
