Description

This is an early 17th-century cottage that has been divided into two dwellings. The facade was remodelled and the roof raised at the front during the early 19th century. The building is timber-framed with roughcast rendering, a brick sill, and a rebuilt gable end of brick. It has a pantiled roof with a 17th-century gault brick ridge stack and a later end stack. The cottage is two storeys high. Four early 19th-century hung sash windows with sixteen panes each are set in open boxing on the upper floor. Four similar windows are at ground floor level, alongside two doorways, each featuring an early 19th-century flat hood supported on shaped brackets.
