Description

The gates and railings of Cambridge General Cemetery, dating from 1843, are located flanking Histon Road. There are pairs of cast iron gates on either side of the lodge, with brick and stone piers. Each of the northern piers features a slate face that is incised with the Cemetery regulations. Additionally, there are cast-iron railings and piers that extend along the entire frontage of the Cemetery.
