Description

Storey's Almshouses, located on Shelley Row, were built in 1844 in the Tudor style. The building is constructed from yellow brick with freestone dressings and consists of two storeys. It features a plinth, a moulded stringcourse at the first floor level, and a parapet with moulded coping. The ground floor has three-light mullioned and transomed windows, while the upper floor has two and three-light windows. There are projecting pointed arched porches with paired entrances, although the doors are modern. The roofs are covered with slate and have prominent brick stacks with grouped shafts.
