Description
Nos 26 to 28 on Magdalene Street are a pair of buildings dating from the 16th century, although they were remodeled, re-roofed, and refaced in gault brick in the late 18th century. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and feature a timber-framed and plastered structure, topped with a tiled mansard roof and a projecting upper storey. There are three windows with hung sashes and glazing bars, along with three flat-topped dormers. Nos 27 and 28 have early 19th-century doorways and shop windows that contain later glazing. The first floor displays pargetted rectangular panels. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 13 to 18 and Nos 20 to 31 on the same street.
