Description

23 Magdalene Street is a 16th-century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a tile roof. The upper storey projects on three brackets that are carved with conventional leaf ornament, and the gables are positioned in the middle of the roof. The building features a 19th-century shop front with a brick base. Inside, there is a carriageway that retains original chamfered ceiling timbers. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 13 to 18 and Nos 20 to 31.
