Description

47 Court Street is a 16th-century timber-framed house with a plastered front. The ground floor has been modified with a modern shop front, while the second floor retains its jettied design supported by a bressummer and brackets. The house features two gables above and a tiled roof. On the first floor, there are two small bay windows that still have their glazing bars intact. The building stands three storeys high and has two windows. The rear elevation includes a gable with a bay window underneath and a cove below the bay. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 39, 39A, and 40 Omnibus Enquiry Office, Nos 41 to 48 in sequence, and Nos 8 and 10 Market Place.
