Description

This building, consisting of numbers 7 and 7A, is located on The Market Place. It dates from the 17th century and was altered and refaced in the 19th century. The building is two storeys high with an attic, and it has five windows and three hipped dormers. It is stuccoed and features a heavy eaves bracket cornice, as well as a tiled roof. The original glazing bars are missing from the windows. The ground floor contains two 20th-century plate glass shop fronts, flanked by rusticated pilasters. A carriage entrance is located at the north end. The building is part of a group of listed buildings on The Market Place, which includes numbers 1 and 2, numbers 4 to 7, number 7A, numbers 1 to 11, and 11A Court Street.
