Description

Number 4 on The Market Place is a building with an 18th-century front that was originally a 15th-century timber-framed house, which has been altered over time. It has two storeys and features two windows. The exterior is made of painted brick and includes a parapet, although the glazing bars are missing. The shop front and fascia are modern. Inside, the ceiling beams are visible. This building is part of a group of listed buildings in The Market Place, which includes Nos 1 and 2, 4 to 7 in sequence, and No 7A, as well as Nos 1 to 11 in sequence and 11A on Court Street.
