Description
46 Court Street is a 18th century building with a front that belongs to an older structure. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows and three dormers, two of which are gabled and one hipped. The exterior is stuccoed, with a heavy wooden cornice supported by eaves brackets. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled, and the first floor retains its original glazing bars. There is a modern shop front at street level. The rear of the house has a first floor that jetties out on a bressummer and brackets, along with two bay windows on the ground floor. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 39, 39A, and 40 Omnibus Enquiry Office, as well as Nos 41 to 48 (consecutive) and Nos 8 and 10 Market Place.
