Description

No. 22 Ampthill Road is a house, formerly two properties, dating from the late 17th century. It has a timber-framed structure with red brick infill, and some areas have been rebuilt in red brick. The house features a thatched roof and has a three-room plan, with one storey and attics. The south elevation displays a variety of casement windows, all with glazing bars, with three on the ground floor. There are five eyebrow dormers and a 20th-century door located between the two right-hand bays. A red brick multiple ridge stack serves the two left-hand rooms. Additionally, there is a 20th-century extension at the rear.
