Description
No. 53 Sundon Road is a house located in Harlington, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It has a timber-framed structure, with the section facing the road being later and less substantial. The northern elevation features colourwashed brick infill, while the southern elevation and road gable are covered in colourwashed roughcast render. The roof is tiled and dates from the 20th century. The house has a three-room plan, is two storeys high with attics, and includes an additional bay at the eastern end.
On the southern elevation, the ground floor has one three-light and two two-light casement windows, while the first floor has two three-light casements and one single light, all of which are 20th-century leaded replacements. There are three plank doors and one gabled porch. A red brick stack is located at the ridge, with another red brick stack at the junction with the later eastern bay.
