Description
Strawplaiters is a house located on Church Road in Harlington, dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with some reworking around 1800. The building has a timber-framed structure, featuring colourwashed plaster infill on the sides and rear, and a red brick front elevation. It has a 20th-century tile roof that is half-hipped at the left end. The house has a two-room plan for the front block, with a gabled block at the rear, creating a T-plan layout. It stands two storeys tall and has two three-light casement windows with glazing bars on both floors, with the first-floor windows flanking a two-light casement. There is a plank door beneath a cut bracketed door hood, and a red brick multiple ridge stack is aligned with the door.
