Description

A row of cottages dating from the 18th century, with an addition constructed in the 19th century. The cottages are timber-framed with rough cast walls and colour washing. Hillcrest and April Cottage have thatched roofs, while Twisden has an asbestos roof. The cottages comprise five rooms across two storeys, with a lower bay to the southeast. The first floor retains one 2-light and one 3-light horizontal sash window with glazing bars. Other windows are 20th-century casements, including bow windows on the ground floor of Hillcrest. A 20th-century door serves Hillcrest, a 20th-century glazed porch serves April Cottage, and a gabled porch serves Twisden. Various one-story additions have been made to the rear in the 20th century.
