Description
Orchard Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Church End in Ravensden. It is constructed with a timber frame and rough cast rendering, and has a thatched roof. The original plan comprised three rooms, with a single storey and attics. The cottage has been extended with two rectangular bays added in the 20th century, each with a thatched hipped hood. There are three dormers to the roof, all featuring 20th-century casement windows, alongside a small casement window. A 20th-century porch with a hipped thatched hood sits off-centre on the front. Two integral gable end stacks are visible. Colour washed brick and pantiled outbuildings are attached to the southwest gable end.
