Description

Thatched Cottage is a late 16th century small house located in Broxted Church End. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof. The cottage has one storey and attics, featuring a four-window range with 19th century casements and a large gabled dormer. The layout consists of a two-bay plan with an original central chimney stack. Inside, most of the original frame is preserved, showcasing stop-chamfered mantel beams. There are modern extensions at both the east and west ends.
