Description
Shrubbery Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse built facing onto an earlier building. The walls are pebbledash and colour-washed brick, with a 20th-century tile roof. The main block is of four bays, hipped to the east, with a lower hipped block projecting to the rear west, forming an L-shaped plan. A single-story brick addition is situated within the angle to the rear. The south elevation has an asymmetrical four-bay façade, featuring a two-story canted bay to the right of the center, in line with a red brick ridge stack. The canted bay has a 20th-century glazed door and a moulded wooden concave eaves cornice. All windows are sash windows with glazing bars in moulded flush frames. Various 20th-century casements are present on the other elevations.
