Description

Holly Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Shrubbery Lane in Wilden. It is built with a timber frame, originally covered with rough cast and partly weatherboarded on the north gable end. The south gable end has been rebuilt in red brick. The roof is covered with old clay tiles. The cottage originally comprised two rooms with attic space. A central gabled porch, aligned with a red brick ridge stack, was added. There are two windows on the ground floor and two gabled dormers, all fitted with 20th-century casement windows. A single-storey addition has been built to the rear. The cottage was formerly listed with a different name and location.
