Description
Old Rectory Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Shelton Hall Road, Dean and Shelton. It is constructed with a timber frame and rough cast rendering, featuring a clay tile roof. The building has red brick stacks, one on the ridge and another at the north gable end. The original design was a two-bay, lobby entrance plan. The front of the cottage has two two-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars and moulded frames on each floor. A four-panel door is set within a moulded wooden surround. A 20th-century gabled brick porch has been added, and a later brick addition, with a parallel gable ridge, extends to the rear.
