Description

Upper Dean Windmill is a disused windmill built in 1850 for William N. Bliss. It is constructed of red brick and is a tower mill type, standing approximately 40 feet high. The cap of the windmill is missing, and it features cambered heads to its openings. Originally, the windmill had three floors, but it appears that two of these floors have collapsed. Fragments of two of its 'patent' sails remain, along with some machinery. The windmill last operated in 1906.
