Description
Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1600. It features a colour washed rough cast on a timber frame, with brick facing on the east gable end, and has an old clay tile roof. The building is T-shaped and has two storeys, with two small additional projecting gables at the front. There is a diagonally set integral red brick stack on the east gable end. At the rear, there is a 19th-century one-storey red brick extension with a pantiled roof.
On the front elevation, each gable has a sash window with glazing bars on the ground floor, and a 2-light horizontal sash with glazing bars on the first floor. Additionally, there is a 2-light horizontal sash in the ground floor of the central recessed bay. The rear elevation also features 2-light horizontal sashes with glazing bars.
