Description

Elm Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1600. It features colour washed brick and rough cast facing on a timber frame, with an old clay tile roof. The building has a T-plan layout, consisting of a two-storey cross-wing and a main block that is one storey with attics. There are red brick ridge stacks on both blocks and an external gable end stack on the east side. The windows are casements, mostly from the 20th century, and there is a 20th-century front door and porch. The east bay of the main block appears to be a later addition, as its roofline is slightly lower. Additionally, there is a one-storey lean-to extension on the east gable end.
