Description

Dean Croft is a cottage dating from the 18th century, located on the west side of Brook Lane in Upper Dean. The building features colour washed rough cast over a timber frame and brick construction, topped with thatch. It has a colour washed brick ridge stack and an external stack at the south gable end. Originally, the cottage had a two-bay plan, but a 20th-century bay was added to the north gable end. The structure is one storey with attics, and the ground floor has five 20th-century two-light casement windows, along with one dormer featuring a casement window. The front door, which is also from the 20th century, is located to the right of the ridge stack.
