Description
The garden walls, piers, gates, and railings at Kempston Bury date from the 18th century and enclose a rectangular garden located southeast of the current house. The structure features red brick walls and piers with stone dressings. The south elevation includes two piers with central rusticated pilaster strips, stone volutes, and capping. The right-hand pier is topped with a stone spread eagle, while the left-hand eagle is now missing. To the right, two pilasters flank what appears to be a blocked doorway. The east elevation has four piers with stone copings and ball finials, along with wrought iron railings and gates in the center. The north elevation features two rusticated piers with stone copings.
