Description
The garden walls and two pairs of gate piers located immediately northwest and southeast of Wembury House date from the early 19th century. There are two high stone rubble walls that define the north and south sides of a rectangular garden, each featuring a pair of gate piers at the eastern end. The south gate piers are square in plan, made of stone, and topped with plain caps and ball finials. In contrast, the north gate piers are larger, constructed from rusticated ashlar, also square in plan, and feature plain caps and ball finials, along with ornamental wrought iron gates.
