Description

Langdon Barton Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse constructed of rendered stone rubble, with a slate roof featuring gabled ends. It has a rear extension, creating a double-depth plan. The house is two storeys high and has a long, five-window front. The windows are mostly sash windows with glazing bars; the ground floor includes a two-light sash window on the left and a French window on the right. A doorway is located to the left of the centre, featuring a doorcase with fluted pilasters and a fielded panel door, topped with a pediment. The tympanum of the pediment contains a small pineapple in relief, and the hood is supported by wooden posts. Chimney stacks are positioned at the ends and on the ridge of the roof.
