Description
School House is a 16th-century house located on the north side of High Street in Swineshead. It features a colour-washed rough cast exterior on a timber frame and has an old clay tile roof. The building is designed in a T-plan, with two storeys and a two-storey porch wing at the front, along with a one-storey and attic addition at the west end. The west addition includes a three-light casement window. The porch wing has a two-light casement window on the first floor and a 20th-century front door with a gabled canopy. The main block has three-light side sliding sash windows on each floor, while the cross-wing gable end features a two-light side sliding sash window on each floor. All windows are fitted with leaded lights. There is a 20th-century porch on the east elevation and 20th-century extensions at the rear.
