Description

Lilac Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on the south side of High Street in Swineshead. The exterior features colour washed pebble-dash over a timber frame and is topped with a pantiled roof. The cottage has a two-room plan and originally included an external gable end red brick stack on the east side, which is now enclosed within a small, slightly later timber-framed bay. A two-storey bay was added to the west gable end in the 20th century. The cottage has three 2-light casements with glazing bars on each floor, an open gabled porch, and a plank door.
