Description
The Old Bakehouse, located at 23 and 25 Church Road, is a late 17th century or early 18th century house that features a 19th century red brick wing on the north-east side. The original section of the building has a colourwashed roughcast exterior over timber framing and is topped with a concrete tile roof. It stands one storey high with attics and has three hipped dormers on the south-east elevation. The ground floor includes three casement windows, with the central window being from the 20th century and the outer ones being three-light windows with glazing bars. The 19th century red brick wing is slightly lower than the original block, has an old clay tile roof, and also stands one storey high with attics. It features two gabled dormers and three ground floor triple doorways that are set beneath cambered arches.
