Description
The Old Post Office is a pair of 18th century timber-framed houses, with a 19th century brick extension at the rear. The front is finished in colourwashed pebbledash, with some timber-framing and brick nogging visible at the back, although the eastern end has mostly been rebuilt in brick. The building features an old clay tile roof and stands two storeys high. The facade includes three casement windows with glazing bars on each floor, along with three ground floor doors made of tongued and grooved planks. The rear wing has casement windows that are asymmetrically spaced and have cambered heads. Additionally, there is a single-storey lean-to at the back, constructed of colourwashed brick and topped with a pantiled roof.
