Description

Wootton House, located at 34 Brook Street, is a building dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, which has undergone alterations. It is constructed of red brick with chamfered stone quoins on the right and features an old tiled roof with a stone cornice. The building has a basement, two storeys, and attics, with a gabled casement dormer. There are three sash windows with glazing bars set in reveals beneath cambered arches. The central ground floor has a wooden oriel bay window with glazing bars and a simplified entablature. To the right, there is a four-panel door with an oblong fanlight that also has glazing bars. Access to the door is via three steps, which are flanked by wrought iron railings.
