Description

The Moorings is a 17th century cottage located to the north of Fordlands in Hinwick Village, with a 19th century addition at the southern end. The original cottage is built from coursed limestone rubble and is colourwashed, having originally featured a thatched roof, which has since been replaced with a corrugated iron roof adorned with scallop-edged bargeboards from the 19th century. The building is one storey with attics and has two 20th century casement windows on the ground floor. The 19th century addition is lower and has two storeys, topped with a concrete tile roof, and features one casement window with glazing bars on each floor.
