Description

The Old Wheatsheaf is a house located in Hinwick Village, with a datestone on the north gable end marking its construction in 1753. It was extended and reroofed in the 19th century. The building is made of coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched roof covered in Welsh slates. It has four bays, with the southern bay being from the 19th century. The house is two storeys tall. On the east elevation, there are three casement windows with glazing bars on each floor. The gabled porch is adorned with crested ridge tiles and scalloped bargeboards. The west (rear) elevation also has three casement windows with glazing bars on each floor.
