Description

Fordlands is a house dating from the late 17th century or 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high. The front elevation includes two first floor casement windows with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is one three-light and one two-light casement window, both also with glazing bars. A 20th-century porch with a clay tile roof is present. At the rear, there is a wing built at right angles, dating from the late 18th century or 19th century, made of limestone rubble and topped with a pantile roof. This wing is one storey high and has attics, with a 19th-century lean-to that now has a corrugated iron roof.
