Description

This is an 18th-century dovecote located at Number 49 Woodhouse Lane, Staploe and Duloe. Previously listed at Number 51, the dovecote is constructed of red brick with a hipped roof covered in old clay tiles, featuring weather-boarded gablets in the upper portion. The plan is square, with two storeys. A brick band runs around all sides of the building at first-floor level. The south elevation has a plank door on the ground floor and a small window opening on the first floor, both centrally positioned.
