Description

Milestone 57 on the B645 dates from 1754 to 1758. It is made of oolitic limestone and is a tall, roughly hewn stone with a rounded top, though the top-left corner is broken. The inscription is incised and painted black, stating: [57 missing] MILES FROM LONDON – HAIL WESTON.
