Description

Milestone 60 on the B645 dates from 1754 to 1758. It is made of white lime-washed oolitic limestone and is a tall, roughly hewn stone with a rounded top. The inscription on the milestone is incised and painted black, reading: 60 MILES FROM LONDON – GREAT STAUGHTON.
