Description
Corner House is an 18th-century house with a 19th-century addition to the southeast, forming an L-plan that incorporates a 17th-century cottage at the angle. The cottage is timber-framed and has a plain tiled roof. The 18th-century section is constructed of red brick and consists of four bays. It has a plain tiled roof with a modern brick ridge stack and one end stack. The building is two storeys high, featuring two modern casement windows on the first floor and two similar windows on the ground floor, located on either side of a modern brick gabled porch. The south gable includes cambered arches and open boxing for three hung sash windows with glazing bars. The 19th-century southeast wing is one bay, also made of red brick and plain tiled, and is two storeys tall. It has two hung sash windows with glazing bars that are flush with the eaves. The entrance features a modern doorcase with fluted pilasters, a dentil frieze, and a moulded cornice supported by scroll brackets, leading to a four-panelled door.
