Description

The dovecote at Number 23 (Merton Manor Farm) is a structure from the late 17th century. It is built of red brick in English bond and features a pyramidal tiled roof that rises to four gables, each with landing stage openings. There is a doorway located in the west wall. Inside, some nesting boxes remain. This dovecote may have been constructed around the same time as a barn that was demolished, which was dated 1660.
