Description
No. 33 Church Road is a house dating from around 1600, with later alterations from the 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a colourwashed roughcast render. The roof is thatched. The house has a three-room plan and was originally single-storeyed, but a floor was added in the 17th century to create one storey and attics.
On the front elevation, the ground floor features two three-light casements flanking a single light window, while the attic has three eyebrow dormers with two-light casements. All the casements include leaded lights. There is a 20th-century gabled porch on the right-hand side. A red brick double ridge stack is present, and there is a one-storey and attic block that projects from the rear. Additionally, there is a single-storeyed addition with a tiled roof on the south gable end, along with a substantial 20th-century one-storey and attic block to the north.
