Description
Nos. 20 and 21 are 17th-century houses located at Water End in Copple. They feature a colour-washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame, with brick facing on the eastern gable end and an old clay tile roof. The houses have a three-room plan and are one storey with attics. The north elevation includes one single-light cast iron lattice casement and two three-light casements on the ground floor, with the right-hand one having glazing bars. There are two hipped dormers with two-light casements. Evidence of a blocked door aligns with a red brick double ridge stack, and there is a moulded circular plaque also in line with the ridge stack. No. 21 includes a single-storey 19th-century brick addition at the rear, which, along with the brick gable end, features 20th-century casements.
